About Kids Korner and beginner sewing patterns
The one thing I have enjoyed immensely through my whole life is my sewing skills.
I have made many things over the years and sewing and quilting are still my passion.
I want to share this joy with you, I want my kids and your kids to learn a skill they can enjoy for life. My hope is to awaken a child's creativity!
When a child discovers how easy and fun it is to sew and how exciting it is to make their first project, it's a wonderful feeling for me.
I love that they are able to take a simple piece of fabric and make it into something they are proud to wear or carry. They love to show it off and say, "I made this!" There is nothing greater!
Here at Kids Korner you will find projects that will be fun for you and your child to do together. And as they build skills and confidence they can soon create many of the projects on their own.
Our goal is to teach them to focus and work on projects that require more of their time and effort to complete. By teaching them a skill that they can build on.
When you teach them to sew you are not only giving them a gift for life, but you teach them the value of hard work, appreciating and exploring their own unique creativity and the art of delayed gratification. Sewing takes time and paitence, but has great rewards.
